She did it! Graduation back in May in Boise. Grandma and Aunt Steph came to celebrate. Dorion and his wife even came to the graduation ceremony which is so nice. They were so amazing in supporting Miya during all her schooling in Boise. Rides to the airport, dinners, helping move, place to stay when she needed it and such great cheerleaders. Oliver and Emma came to celebrate with us and fun to have them going to school in Boise with Miya. We picked a random ward for church on Sunday in Boise and ended up in my cousin, Kirk's ward. It was Mother's Day, but they still came to join us for a celebratory pizza picnic at a park that afternoon.
Miya had a great cohort at school and loved her amazing friends. It was a challenging almost 3 years, but she graduated with offers from 4 different places, 2 here in Washington and 2 in Provo. She thought she was going to move back to Provo after spending some time here this summer taking her boards and getting her license. She decided last minute to apply for a burn fellowship in North Carolina at UNC hospital and she got it. It doesn't start until September 7th so she got to spend all summer with us. She looked for local summer jobs, but nothing panned out. I was happy about that. She cleaned the cabin for us, taught swim lessons and got to hang out with us more. She is such a hard worker and I am excited for her to experience her fellowship. I am sure it will be hard, but she will learn tons and get great experience for her future.
