Important Business

Lyla has been watching me too much on the computer. She loves it now, just clicking the mouse and typing jibberish makes her happy.

The poor girl is getting eight teeth right now and is pretty miserable so we are finding anything to keep her happy.

3-day weekend

So this weekend at least started with something fun on Friday night. We went to the park with friends and had a picnic and played some volleyball. Then we worked really hard on Saturday all day in Seattle at the house. Sunday was a great day at church. Even nursery went well and we had a ton of kids. Playdough always seems to make things better so I was glad I made some to take.

Then we get to Monday and I have pictures to show how things went from great to not-so-great in a matter of hours.

When we showed up Phil was on the little tractor...kids thought that was awesome and they watched him for about an hour. Even Lyla loved it and kept saying 'dada, vroom.'

Then we eat lunch and I put Lyla down for a nap and Cannon is playing and runs into the bathroom, of course doesn't make it and we don't have anything to change him in to. I find a sweatshirt of Lyla's and make it into something that would at least cover him for the rest of the day.

The picture pretty much sums up how he felt about the whole thing. A few hours later he was laughing that his rear was hanging out when he bent over.

We did get a lot done over the weekend and just keep plugging along. Hopefully we can get everything wrapped up and on the market the first part of June. Phil built the porch and we got everything painted outside...alright almost everything. I still have to finish the white around the deck.

Video

The kids were super excited about going to the zoo. We got the see old friends, but the weather didn't hold out for us and we had to cut it short for rain. The kids are discussing the missing elephant, but we later found him sleeping in the dirt. They also thought it looked like this one was dancing and it made them laugh pretty hard when they would sing. I of course missed it on the camera.

WARM

Lyla was excited about being outside and playing in the water unless her feet touched the rocks. She can't help smiling though when you sing, "If your happy and you know it." My sister-in-law, Jenny brought her four boys over for the afternoon to spend time in the water. We were trying to look skinny in this picture, but it ended up looking like a cheer camp picture.

Miya and Cannon were brave swimming in the cold water. The sun was warm, but the water was SUPER cold. I guess you can't ask for more in May.
The ground littered with kids and toys!

Tagged: Cannon

Well, this is what happens when you check other people's blogs. Cannon was tagged by his cousin.

Here are seven great facts about my little guy:

1. He loves tennis right now. He could hit a ball against the garage door all day.

2. He is super funny (everything that comes out of his mouth has a bit of humor to it.) He asked the other day if a bad guy was going to burn down someone's house so they would want to buy ours. Strange connections made in that brain of his.

3. He loves to wash the dishes. He always comes running when he hears the water in the sink.

4. He is by far my worst sleeper.

5. He loves being outside and doing anything that involves throwing something.

6. He loves mowing the lawn with his dad. Phil lets him push the automatic mower once he is all done with the lawn and Cannon thinks it is great.

7. He is a sweety and loves to be hugged and kissed and tickled. We all just really love having him around.

Family

While I was packing for the weekend trip to Utah the kids wouldn't get out of the suitcase and thought it was super funny. It was so good to be with all my family and go to women's conference with my mom and sisters. The Prophet was the concluding speaker and when he was leaving the building there was not a dry eye in the stadium. It was a great event to be at and mostly just to hangout with family. I loved seeing my Grandma and Grandpa Rammell too.

Plus I came home to a super happy, healthy family. The kids loved having Phil around all weekend and got to see grandparents. Lyla learned to say "dada" and now notices everytime he walks in the room. So it was a great trip all the way around.

Bubbles

These cups are the BEST bath toys (I should note for anyone that gets the concept of blowing the bubbles.) Lyla drank about a half cup of bath water before getting it. You just put a little baby shampoo in a little water and they can blow bubbles that don't hurt if they get in your eyes.
