Cannon

Phil and Cannon went to the movie and then Cannon wanted to play some of the games and Phil said he was super surprised that he won both of these stuffed animals. Cannon gave one to Miya and then said he would share the dog with Lyla. He is a pretty good kid and loves his sisters most of the time.
Last night he had a basketball game and they played a girls team. After the game Cannon kept saying, "we killed those girls!" It was funny and horrible at the same time. Cannon scored a ton and he was yelling at teammates if they did something wrong. It totally took me back to high school and I let him know it wasn't cool. He was super nice after though and brought his own Twinkies to share with his team.
Cannon was super sick while we were in Leavenworth with the Phillips' and every time I did something for him he was so appreciative and thanks me for everything. He was super sad because he hates to throw-up (almost as much as I hate it when anyone does it) and he said he was mad that he couldn't stop doing it. By the last night there he looked horrible and super skinny (yes even skinnier than normal) and he passed out in the bathroom and hit his head on the shower. I walked in to see him on the floor and quickly got him up and tried to get him to answer me when his eyes rolled back in his head and he started shaking. He has night terrors and I wasn't sure if he was having a seizure or just that he was asleep and I could wake him up. I was changing he clothes when he woke up and just kept apologizing. I was super scared and couldn't wait to get home so that I felt more in control of everything. I am sure the Phillips' were super happy to be on vacation with us since all of us got sick. Cannon is back to normal and eating like a horse now that he is making up for the days he missed eating.

Lyla's Daddy Date

For Lyla's latest daddy date she had him take her down to the waterfront in Tacoma and ride bikes. She had just learned to ride without training wheels and was super excited to go. Phil said she went over two miles and then they had to head to dinner. She did take down an old lady that was walking by and Phil felt horrible about it. He said it was almost right after he took the last picture. The lady was super nice and after Phil helped her up she just talked about how cute Lyla was and that it was nice that she was on a date with her dad. The kids always look forward to their dad dates.
Lyla has been super sick the last few weeks and when I took her to the doctor this week she had lost 6 lbs since December and looks it. She had pneumonia and an ear infection this last week and keeps throwing-up after her spell with the flu last week. She is back at school today so we are hoping we will be back to normal here soon. I hate to see my kids sick and I hate it when they don't eat or can't keep anything down and look so skinny. Something about feeding my kids good healthy food just makes me feel like I am doing what I am supposed to be doing.

Another Valentine's Day

Months ago Phil had to take some pictures to put with his profile for when the General Authority was coming to do interviews for the new Stake President. He is such a good, handsome, kind, funny and loving man. I was super honored to be married to a man that was part of this process and that he was worthy and willing to except a calling if it came. He has been traveling a lot for work and I have missed him terribly, but I appreciate all his hard work for our little family. Grateful to have a valentine as wonderful as this man. Glad he was home to spend the evening with me for Valentine's day!

Northwest Trek

Riding the tram around the open range area.
Kids with the camera captured the only picture of Phil

Phil has a friend that is a hunter and he wanted to send this picture to him to see if this would have been something he would have shot.

Since the Hendrix's are moving this next week I have been going through all the photos from outings we have done together and trying not to cry. I seriously love this family and hate the army for tearing us apart! Really they are awesome and we have had a ton of fun with them. These pictures are from our trip to Northwest Trek. It was a some what dry day for fall in the Pacific Northwest and the animals were impressive.  Cannon loved the cougar at the end and the bobcat that kept marching back and forth along the fence line, he laughed for ten minutes straight watching him.

Cannon's view

Cannon was cleaning the play room while I was on the computer and this is what he wanted to discuss:
Cannon: "It seems like things are harder since Obama won the last election."
Me: "what do you mean by harder, like cleaning up the house and stuff."
Cannon: "yeah, exactly. Mitt Romney is a Mormon right?"
Me: "Yes he is a Mormon."
Cannon: "well, that makes sense because he would know how to have everyone help each other and things would be easier. He know that we are all God's children and that makes things easier."

I was about to say something about Obama believing in God too, but he was busy worrying about how Lyla wasn't doing her share of the cleaning.
He then said Lyla would vote for Obama because she would want other people to work hard and have to pay her. What charitable learning we have going on in our home.
