Boys

I don't have a ton of pictures of Cannon from the trip to Driggs because the boys were happy to be doing their own thing. I don't even have a picture with Oliver.  They were found out in the field by Steph's house playing laser tag, bouncing on the trampoline, sneaking in games on the computer or with bags of oreos in the basement. He did love going white-water rafting for his birthday over in Jackson and melting the plastic soldiers with the fireworks on the 4th of July. You can see the little mischievous smiles on the boys faces. We didn't do the traditional birthday BBQ with water balloon launching at Uncle Micheal or the pinata. I was surprised that the older kids were the once disappointed with the change. We did however have the ice cream cake and Uncle Phil's famous brats on Friday for a BBQ with Uncle Jeff and all his family.

Trampoline Girls

I love how happy my crazy Lyla is most of the time, but this picture really captured her personality.

Lyla has so many girls cousins her age and they spent hours on the trampoline. Sometimes with the sprinkler underneath to beat the heat. They would bounce each other so high it was hard to watch, but they were in heaven. Lyla fits right in the middle of all this group of girls. She can be the leader of the younger girls or fight her way in to the older girls group. It went both ways, but she loved hanging out with all of them. This was one of the first days and she was happy to be with Marian and Emery.

Bouncing with Caroline and Elsie.

Dance Festival 2015

Miya was able to participate in the Shine Bright Dance Festival 2015 in May. They had dance practice for months during mutual and she was able to make so many new friends from the Stake. It was amazing to see over 800 kids perform and the spiritual message in between each dance was so amazing and strong. I cry throughout and it was so great to see how much it helped Miya grow and to see her learn something new. I am always so proud of Miya and so glad happy with the amazing young women she is and continues to become in so many ways. What a blessing and a gift she is to our family. She is a beauty both inside and out and a joy to have around...most of the time! A lot of Phil's family came to see a performance because two of her cousins were in it as well.

Hot Lava

So last night for FHE we had everyone help in coming up with the slogan for our Rainier to Ruston t-shirts for our race this Saturday. Everyone got to put two slogans in the pot and then we voted on the winner. The person who won got to pick the treat for FHE. Here are all the slogans:

WE'RE HOT, SLOW, ORANGE & FLOW

EVERY TIME WE RUN, IT FLOWS. HOT LAVA

DANGER! YOU'RE RUNNING WITH HOT LAVA

KEEP CALM & WATCH HOT LAVA

TEAM HOT LAVA IS SO FAST THE LAVA ISN'T IN THE VOLCANO

WARM SPEED, HOT LAVA, GLOBAL WARMING...SAME THING

GOT LAVA?  YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO FAR.

CAUTION: HOT LAVA ON THE TRAIL

TEAM HOT LAVA: RUN FAST OR I'LL CATCH YOU.

AND THE WINNER:

HOT LAVA...HOTTER THAN NORMAL LAVA.

Cannon had both of the top two, but I was pretty impressed with what everyone came up with. Phil is almost done with the shirts and we are excited to give them to our teammates on Saturday. We had rootbeer floats for dessert and I was happy to miss the treat this week.

Front Door

I have been painting and trying to get a few projects done around here. I really am in the middle of most of them, but I got the front door done and liked the way it turned out. There was a lot of tape and time. Hope to get the kids rooms and up the stairs done next week during spring break.
