Utah Trip

Phil's house he lived in when we started dating at BYU. 14 boys lived here and I wanted him to notice me so I would even scrub their bathroom. Yuck!

We took a hike up by Sundance and Aspen Grove Sunday afternoon after church with Drew Davis in Vineyard. We were able to stay with Drew for a few days and hit a haunted forest with them. I made everyone practically run through the thing, but it was okay. They live on Utah Lake so we had great runs every morning. We also got to see the Markham's and have dinner at their house. They shared their amazing grape juice from their vineyard with us and sent us home with a few bottles we have been sharing with friends.

The IREM conference was just a couple blocks from Temple Square at The Grand Hotel. We spent a few hours everyday sight seeing and I was able to do a session in the Salt Lake Temple. I spent a day hiking with Merissa and Buffy, but we fought to get a  picture. So fun to see them and catch-up with them.

Soccer 2015

All the kids played soccer this year. Lyla's team has been playing together for 3 years now and have Mark B. as a coach who can be pretty intense. They went undefeated again this year and are a pretty fun little group of girls. Cannon's team was coming together for the first year, but really started playing as a team the end of the season. His coach was a nice young soldier with no kids on the team just wanted to be involved. Miya's team was coached by her friends dad and she had a great time playing in rain and wind storms and had one more game this weekend before her season is over. It was fun to watch them play and get better even if I was soaked after most games.

Lyla/dad date

Phil took Lyla out and she wanted to go to the arcade and laser tag place. Then they swam in the hotel pool, watched a movie (she said Phil fell asleep during the movie so you know it was late) ate at McDonald's and made it home for her soccer game.

Father/Son date

Phil took Cannon out and they spent time at the trampoline place in Tacoma, spent the night (somewhere) ate at a Korean BBQ which Cannon loved, swam in the hotel pool, got up early to paddle board and make it back in time for soccer games on Saturday. The kids love these one-on-one times with dad and Phil loves it just as much. The kids always come home super tired and look just like me after a vacation with Phil...he is a busybody and loved to fit in as much fun as he can with very little sleep or rest.

Nate and Rach

We found time for a night out without kids while Nate and Rach were visiting. We walked along the waterfront in Tacoma and went to dinner. So great to have such amazing friends even if they move all the way down to Texas.
