White Christmas 2017

We had a great Christmas with snow on the ground. The three older kids were super excited to give Nona gifts for Christmas and watch her open them. Miya got her a unicorn tent, Cannon got her an animal puzzle that makes the sounds as you put in the pieces and Lyla got her a broom and dust pan play set. They also wanted to open all the presents in the sunroom on the new warm floor. We opened presents. ate breakfast and played in the snow.

Christmas Eve 2017

Nana and Boppa stopped by for a minute to say Merry Christmas before heading out to Shelton.

We got snow on Christmas Eve this year.

Youth Christmas Activity/Party 2017

I have said it before and will say it again, Miya and Cannon have the best leaders for YM/YW. The Sorensons let the kids come over to their house for many of their activities and always go all out. I love how much these kids love their leaders and get along with each other.

Polar Express Ward Christmas Party 2017

Sister Sorenson always goes all out when decorating and the Ward Christmas party was amazing. We had breakfast for dinner and everyone wore pjs.

We got the floor done in time to get a tree up the week before Christmas. I was all for skipping the tree, but the kids thought that was a horrible idea.

My Testimony

I have finally decided to follow in the footsteps of my wonderful Grandfather and put my testimony in writing. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and know that I have been greatly blessed to have strong and courageous ancestors who brought the Gospel into my life. Through much study and prayer I have come to know that I have a personal Savior, Jesus Christ that lived and died for me. I know that He lives and has conquered death that I too may live again. I know that my Father in Heaven has given all the oppurtunity to receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost through baptism because he loves us. The Holy Ghost can testify of the truthfulness of all things to our hearts, both things of this physical world and also the spiritual relm. We can receive answer to prayer by searching the scriptures for in them are truth and light.
I love the Prophet, Joseph Smith and am thankful for the sacrifices he made in restoring the Gospel back to the earth. I know that he saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ and that they spoke to him. I know that there is a Prophet on the earth today that speaks to God and directs his children.
I am thankful for the perfection of the Gospel and yet also thankful for the imperfections of the millions of members of the church. With each one striving, like I am, to live better lives each day and become more like our Savior.
