Lyla was bowler #4 and this was her 1st time getting over 200!!!
Everyone was so happy for her and celebrated her joining the 200s club.
wings to celebrate the day
What an amazing bowling career Lyla has had. Every year she did better than the year before. It all wrapped up with an amazing day at the State Tournament in Tukwilla at Bowlero. She was such a rockstar. She really brought all the girls she shared a lane with together and was such a team builder. She bowled with girls from Central Kitsap, 2 from Timberline and Lincoln High Schools. She started out with encouraging words as they gathered to walk in introductions and had them high fiving the first game, to cheering and laughing together at the end. The other coaches got picture of them together because they loved the little team that was built. All the girls were amazing and 2 got in the top 15. Lyla bowled her best game ever at 203 and finished 26th out of 79 girls for A3 girls in the State of Washington, plus 1 team from Oregon. I was six games, 3 in the morning (felt a little long getting started), lunch and then 3 afternoon games. I just seem to find myself sitting on the verge of crying this year as we do so many of the "lasts" with Lyla. She is such a fun and amazing person. I sure love hanging around her and watching her do her thing. I will miss her around next year. Nona was also a trooper hanging out all day. Luckily she makes friends easy and had a few little buddies to hang with at the arcade and some high schoolers gave them a card with a ton of points so they could get prizes.
