Bad Attitude

So on Saturday we were up in Seattle working on the yard at the house we are trying to sell. I was grouchy because I just seem to be that way lately with this house. The house that we have put a ton of work, sweat and money into and every time we think we have someone who is going to buy it something crazy happens and it falls through. I know, I know. I don't mean to sound so wimpy and whiny about this house, but I have to describe how I was feeling as Cannon came up to me at the end of the day and said, "mom, I love this house. Today has been such a fun day." It made me stop and think about all the mean thoughts I had carried with me all day as I was working. I wondered if Heavenly Father found a little boy to help me remember all my wonderful blessings and help me change my attitude. Even if things haven't gone as planned with this house and there is work to do those can be the funnest days and good memories for my children if I let them.
I guess I should say that I normally am not such a wimp about working and actually normally like to be busy and get things done, but I did step on a nail on Friday. The weather was beautiful all weekend and we spent days with friends on both Sunday and Monday so the holiday was fun. It is amazing that with all I have to be happy about I still find myself sulking sometimes.
Lyla is getting so big and I can't believe she is almost 2.5. All my kids are loving the weather and playing outside all of the time. I love summer and I only have three and a half more weeks until I get to go to Driggs and see all my family. It is going to be a really great summer.

Family

Sunday we went with all of Phil's family over to Aaron's after church and blessing baby Eden. It is always fun to get together with family to laugh, eat and play. The weather was beautiful and we were outside hanging out all afternoon. Cannon found this really amazing stick...
I thought something was super funny...

Lyla hung out with cousins and sang with grandpa...

Then she found the other swing...

Father & Son Camping

Phil took Cannon on the Father/Son camping trip this weekend. I didn't tell Cannon about it until Friday morning and once he knew he didn't stop talking about it. He was so excited to go with just him and dad and eat s'mores. He was excited to tell me all about it when he got home. The highlight of the night was the s'mores, but he did like sleeping in a tent with dad and hanging out around the fire.

Oh, he did find a little time to bust a move for everyone at the camp out.

Sisters

Driving home from the airport I had tears streaming down my cheeks and I hear Cannon from the back seat, "I love Aunt Nicki and Robbi." I just said, "I do too!" If was really a great weekend spent with sisters. Even with sick kids we managed to have a great time. We watched a lot of "girly" movies, stayed up late talking and laughing, we ate good food and enjoyed being together. My sisters are the best and only wish we could live closer together, but for now I am just happy I will get to see them again in June when we all go to Driggs for a few weeks. We really missed having Stephanie around and can't wait to see her this summer.

We had a great time taking pictures outside yesterday, but didn't make it out until all the kids were in bed so it wasn't the best light. We laughed pretty hard at the fun dance photos we took.

I got to be sandwiched in by the two pregnant sisters. Ashlee and Steph are having girls this summer and Robbi will add another boy in September. That makes 16 girls and 5 boys. Sick kids slept everywhere. We even found Arleigh asleep on the bathroom floor.
