Winter Storm 2019
Driggs Round-up 2019
I love my family so much and really look forward to our two weeks together in Driggs. I love my sisters and all their husbands. We had a great time laughing, playing, eating, white-water rafting, going to a play (running into my roommate from my freshman year at BYU), dinners out, Cannon's birthday party (water balloons, ice cream cake, brats), fireworks, jumping on the trampoline, sleep-overs, family dance, swimming, pickleball, ping-pong, tennis and the guys had lot of time for golf. My parents and Steph are amazing hosts. The kids loved spending time with cousins and having some Idaho freedom. We brought a glow-in-the-dark capture the flag game that they played at night. It was fun, but didn't cause a little cousin contention for an added bonus.
Nona was exhausted by the end of the trip. She is such a trooper trying to keep up with everyone.

Hardware Store Trip
We got pretty lazy with Nona's grooming and dressing during this house project. She dressed herself and I captured it all on a trip to Lowe's one morning. Every time someone said "hi" at the store she would just spin for them and then slide on the floor. It was really impressive!

Next Door Kitchen
I love how the kitchen turned out. We knew we didn't have very much time so we decided to keep the original custom built cabinets in the kitchen. I scrubbed, sanded and painted the cabinets. We changed out the counter tops and back-splash and got all new appliances. We tore out the flooring and put in this tile. We doubled the size of the opening of the kitchen. I love the tile work for the back-splash. It was a ton of work because Phil had to cut so many of the small diamonds and glue each one in. I also love the layout and having it so much more open. It is my favorite room of the house and came together really well for being so quick.

Next Door Floors
Phil used some reclaimed wood from a project in Tacoma he is working on to make the mantle. We painted the brick and the fireplace insert to just clean it all up. We still had a ton of dust on the floor from cutting the trim inside because it was so late at night we didn't want to bug neighbors.
We took out all the old carpet, pulled out the tack strips and staples (which was a ton of work), cleaned the floors, sanded, then stained the floors. I love how they turned out. It makes it so much warmer in each room. The last picture is the bedroom and I love how it looks with everything done.
