Miya and Cannon were both able to participate in the math relay last spring. It was the first year Tillicum participated in over 15 years and they took 3rd place. Each team was able to complete the relay 3 times and then they took the average time. Our team decided that they wanted the B team kids to be able to run so they did the final relay. It dropped their average by over two minutes and made it 3rd instead of 1st or 2nd, but they were just so happy to cheer on these other kids and happy that everyone got a chance. I really love the kids at our elementary school. They are super kind to each other and so excited about being part of a team. Cannon was one of 4 fourth graders to participate and one of two that made the A team.
