Fiddler on the Roof

Phil took the kids to see the production of Fiddler on the Roof that his dad was in. They all thought it was great and were amazing that it was a free community event that was put on by combined Stakes in our area.

White Water Rafting Oregon 2016

Phil took the kids rafting while we were at the Combs'/ Nuber Family Reunion this summer down in Oregon. Miya was in another boat with cousins, but you can tell from the pictures they had a great time. Cannon felt much better being in the middle than up front with his cousins. I was back at the house with Nona enjoying some time with other family.

We had a great summer and enjoyed having Andra and Katrina come over a few times to hang out and swim. It was fun to have Phil's parents here for the summer before they moved out in September. We had some really hot days at the end of the summer while Phil and Cannon were down in San Diego so we partied it up. Nona didn't enjoy being in the water more that just her feet so we mostly stayed in the shade and ate. It is always better to do stuff with company.

Nona's Blessing

We blessed Nona in August so she was over three months old and didn't like being laid back for the blessing. She started crying in the middle of the blessing so Phil quickly wrapped it up. She is a really loud crier and I went up to get her from Phil and as soon as I touched her she stopped crying and looked at everyone with her serious one eyebrow raised face and everyone laughed. Geneva Smith knows short-hand so she sent me the blessing by email. It was so nice of her and so great to have it written down. I asked Phil that night if he felt there was more for her blessing and he said yes, but had to cut it short because she was so loud it was hard for him to concentrate and hear the Spirit. She is such a fun little bug, but a lot of work at 3 months.

1st Day of School 2016

The kids all wanted to gather around Nona for the back to school picture. They were all sad to leave her and worried that they would miss all her firsts this year. Luckily she has made sure to save some of her activities and cuteness for when everyone is home in the afternoon.
Miya is in 8th grade at Harrison Prep this year and we are starting sports at Mann Middle School this next month. Cannon is in 7th Grade at Harrison Prep and is enjoying his friends, but pretty bored at school. Lyla is in 4th grade at Tillicum and has the new teacher Ms. S and isn't super happy with her class. I have been in to check it out and it is pretty out of control. Hopefully with a little help it will get better. It was hard for me to have them go back to school because they are so helpful with Nona. We have all adjusted pretty well and surprised that we are done with the first quarter already.
