Labor Day Camping

We went camping with the Phillips' out at Mt. Rainier over Labor Day. The weather was fantastic and we had the best time. We swam in the river (even Rachel in her clothes), we jumped from the rock into the river, Miya and Phil jumped from the cliff from about 40 feet into the river, we ate great camping food, played cards by campfire light/lanterns, went hiking and enjoyed being together.
Gathering wood from other campsites because we couldn't fit any in our car after getting all our camping gear and kids. Then went for a little walk with the kids before the Phillips' arrived that afternoon.

Childhood

This was one of the last swimming days this past summer. What a wonderful summer we had and I hope my kids will remember these days with fondness. I had an ideal childhood and even though my kids are experiencing something so different than mine was I hope they also think of it as the ideal childhood. What a beautiful place we live in and what a wonderful little family we have. I love summer toys and the bright colors of swimwear available and how it just makes summer pictures even that more fun.

Babbels Stay

We got to keep Sundi and Brad Babbel for a few days while Char and Byron went on a cruise. This was over a year ago and for some reason I was busy so Phil was the one that went to pick the kids up. We don't do sleep-overs so the kids thought this was AMAZING! They all got along well and Lyla even was able to tag along with Cannon and Brad and every now and again Miya and Sundi would talk to her. I love my kids having good friends they want to hang out with and friends in the Gospel even if we have to drive to Maple Valley to pick them up or hang out.

Combs Family 2013

Getting around to putting this years family pictures up and I am just so thankful for a super talented friend that continues to make us look way better than we normally do. Jamie Pace is super talented and I have learned to find friends that are way more talented than I am so they can do amazing things for me! I love our family pictures more and more every year we get them. The kids picked out what they wanted to wear and I love how it all worked out. Sweet Miya with her hair pulled back (which she never does) and Lyla with her mandatory braid and headband. What a great way to capture these moments in our little family and the changes we see each year. I already look so different in just a few months now that I am growing my hair out and it is no longer light from the summer sun.

Visitors

Stephanie brought Lily for a little weekend visit back in September and Miya loved it. She was so excited to have her cousin come visit and spend 3 full days just hanging out. We headed up to Seattle for the day. We had rain, but enjoyed all the good food at Pike Place Market. Lyla got freaked out by the fish on a string at one of the vendor booths and we enjoyed checking out the gum wall. Stephanie bought from most vendors and we headed home with some amazing jams. I love having family come visit even if it is only for a quick trip. I am getting ready to go down to San Diego at the end of the month for a sisters weekend and am super excited. I still can't believe we planned it for Super Bowl weekend and the Seahawks are looking like they have a chance to be playing.
